Cupcake Bouquet Making Class for Mother’s Day with Nicole from Layla Bean Cakery

Hi there makers! My name is Kara and I’m the crafty mom blogger behind the blog Mine for the Making. As moms we are often so busy that it’s hard to find time to get our craft on. Luckily Pinspiration can help with that. They offer lots of class for adults and kids and there is such a variety, there’s bound to be something you’d love to take! I recently took a Cupcake Bouquet making class for Mother’s Day with Nicole from Layla Bean Cakery.

I had such a great time and learned so much. Nicole was such a patient teacher… super sweet and so talented at her craft!

The classroom was decorated so cute and all of the tables were equipped with all the supplies we needed to make our bouquets.

Nicole taught us how to make 4 different kinds of flowers on vanilla or chocolate cupcakes. My favorite to make was the hydrangea. I was really great at making the roses but not so great at the carnations… I need more practice with those!

After we learned how to decorate the cupcakes, Nicole taught us how to turn them into a bouquet.

We added ribbon to the pot and green tissue paper as filler for the leaves and some cute candy embellishments like ladybugs and bees. They all turned out so pretty!

Nicole’s class at Pinspiration was SO much fun and you don’t have to have a ton of cupcake decorating knowledge or skill to take her classes. I highly recommend taking her class! Just look at how cute my bouquet turned out… and it tasted yummy too!

What is your favorite type of craft? Food, paper, wood, paint… Pinspiration has it all so be sure to check out the event calendar.

See you around makers! And I’d love to see you around my corner of the Internet too! Visit me at Mine for the Making.
